Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes, MERIDIAN HALL has accessible seating available in both the front and the rear-orchestra. To book a wheelchair accessible space, or if you have questions or concerns regarding services for patrons with special seating needs, please call our Box Office at 416-368-6161 x7117. Do you offer assisted listening devices?

Yes, MERIDIAN HALL utilizes an infra-red system to enhance performance audio. Assisted listening devices are provided as a courtesy and are free of charge; however, we do ask for the user to leave a piece of government issued identification as security for return of the system. Please note that there are a limited number of devices and therefore they are subject to availability. Please speak to the Theatre Attendant at the Patron Services desk upon your arrival and ask for an assisted listening device.

Is there an elevator at MERIDIAN HALL

Yes, there is an elevator accessible in the main lobby that accesses the three levels of the venue. There are also escalators ascending and descending between the main to second floors. Please note: to access mezzanine and balcony seating, minimal stairs are still required.

Can I bring my child to a show at MERIDIAN HALL?

We are seeing a family show at MERIDIAN HALL. Are there booster seats available for my children?

There are a limited number of booster seats available. Please note that these are in high demand during family shows, and therefore the seats are subject to availability. If you have your own, please feel free to bring it to the event.

Is there a stroller check at MERIDIAN HALL?

Yes, MERIDIAN HALL is happy to offer a stroller check at all of our performances. One of our friendly Theatre Attendants will be happy to direct you to the stroller check when you enter the main lobby. Due to fire and safety regulations we cannot have any item, including a stroller, left in the aisles during a performance. We are not responsible for any lost or damaged items that are stored during a performance.

Where do I park?

Parking is located at Brookfield Place at 181 Bay St., across from MERIDIAN HALL. Additional public parking lots are available on Scott Street (just east of MERIDIAN HALL), and on the Esplanade (just south of MERIDIAN HALL). Limited metered street parking is available on surrounding streets. There is no parking onsite.

If I come to the theatre, can I see where my seats are?

MERIDIAN HALL is not open to the public outside of show times but our Box Office staff can advise you on seating questions or concerns. Click here to access the Seating Plan.

What time should I show up at the theatre?

We recommend that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the performance time.

When will I be able to enter the lobby space?
+

Generally, the lobby opens 1 hour prior to performance time.

What is your latecomer policy?
+

We suggest that you arrive at least 30 minutes before the show. Those arriving after the show begins may not be seated until there is a suitable break in the performance, as determined by the theatre manager, with the permission of the producer and director. Patrons who wish to leave during a performance will not be allowed to re-enter the theatre until a suitable break occurs as well.

Can I bring my camera? The pictures would only be for personal use.

Unless otherwise specified, the use of cameras, video cameras, or sound-recording devices of any kind, including mobile phones, is prohibited. Any person using an unauthorized recording device may be asked to leave. No refunds will be issued.

Can I use my mobile device during the show?

So as not to disturb others, please refrain from using mobile devices during the show. When the curtain goes up, your device must be turned off. 

Do you have free Wi-Fi?

Yes, we are happy to offer free public Wi-Fi.

Is MERIDIAN HALL licensed to serve alcohol?

Yes, MERIDIAN HALL has a liquor license; however whether or not the bars are open depends on the performance. View the full alcohol policy here.

What is the dress code for attending a performance at MERIDIAN HALL?

There is not a formal dress code for most of our ticketed events. For the most part, business casual attire is appropriate. Please note that the theatre is air-conditioned in the summer months so you may want to bring a light sweater or jacket for comfort.

Is there a coat check at MERIDIAN HALL?

Coat Check services are available for a nominal charge for most events during the winter months. Please note that service availability is dependent on the weather. MERIDIAN HALL is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Do you offer binoculars for rent?

Yes, you may purchase binoculars at the Patron Services desk in our Main Lobby for $15. Alternately, we have binoculars available for rent for a $5.00 fee. If you rent a pair of binoculars you will also be required to leave a piece of government issued identification as a deposit.

What if I lose something?

If you are still in the building, please approach one of our staff members for further instruction. If you have left the building, please contact our Stage Door Attendant by calling 416-368-6161 x0.
